Public Presentations by Shortlist Firms on June 4th

The four shortlist firms for public realm design services will present their qualifications, design philosophy and approach at a public forum hosted by the Executive Oversight Committee (EOC) and the Union Station Advisory Committee (USAC) on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.  The forum will be held at the Auraria Events Center (1255 10th Street Mall) on the Auraria Campus.  Doors open at 5:00 p.m.

Each firm will be allowed 20 minutes to present an introduction to their firm, the key individual(s) proposed to work on the project and a concise statement of the firm’s design philosophy and approach to the public realm at Denver Union Station.  Following each presentation, there will be a period of 15 minutes to respond to written questions from the community.

Parking:
Parking is available in the Tivoli Parking Lot located off of 9th Avenue.

Directions from Tivoli Parking Lot to the Auraria Events Center:
Go to the sidewalk located at the south end of the parking lot. Follow the sidewalk east (towards downtown) past the Tivoli Building. The Auraria Events Center is located south of the soccer fields. It is the building with the lighted sign on it.

EIS BOG

An EIS Break Out Group (BOG) will be held on April 24th,  5:30-7:30 PM, at the Wellington Webb Building, 201 W Colfax, Room 4.F.6/4.G.2. The purpose of the BOG is to present the initial results of the environmental analysis completed for the Final Environmental Impact Statement.

DUS EIS Update

The DUS Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) team began working in December 2007.  The FEIS Analysis will proceed through Spring 2008.  The FEIS will be published in late Spring followed by a Public Hearing.  A signed Record of Decision (ROD) is anticipated for Fall 2008.

Executive Oversight Committee Meetings
The Executive Oversight Committee (EOC) meets on the 2nd Monday of every month from 3:30 to 5 PM at the RTD offices in the board conference room. EOC meetings are open to the public. See the Events Calendar for upcoming meetings and details.
