The installation of insulation, drywall, and the metal panels that are the final finishes in the pedestrian concourse, is continuing as is the installation of the store front glass that separates the pedestrian concourse from the bus loading area. Other finish work, like millwork, terrazzo tile for the floor, and glass tiles on the walls is also progressing. Additionally, crews are working on the stairs, escalators, and elevators that will transport individuals from the CRT platforms to the underground bus facility. Commuter Rail (CRT) and Train Hall With the Train Hall canopy structure complete, crews are now working on touch-up painting, installation of gutters and technology wiring. This work includes grading, installing conduit, storm drains, backfill and concrete slabs. Crews will be working on connecting the tracks that they have been installing from 23rd Street south to the track installed under the Train Hall canopy on top of the bus box. Streets and Utilities Wewatta Street, which has been closed since August 2011, will re-open on May 31st between 19th Street and 16th Street. One lane will be open in each direction to allow for construction adjacent to Wewatta Street. This opening will provide additional north/south access through the Central Platte Valley.
